8 Ways to Elevate Your Vibration, and What it Means

In some conversations, the word vibe comes up, as if everyone knows exactly what that means. Someone has a good vibe, or bad vibe. We’ve all heard that said, but what exactly are people talking about when they say vibe?

To put it simply, we are all energetic beings. Everything in existence is energy, including our own thoughts and bodies, the trees, insects, animals, and the table you are sitting at. Everything.

And as energy, we are vibrational beings.  We have a resonance. We have an energetic signature of sorts, that we put out into the world.

Energy shifts and fluctuates. It vibrates. And we as humans have a unique way of being able to shift our own energetic vibe with our thoughts and actions. Love for example, is a high vibrational feel-good energy. Hate is a lower vibrational negative feeling energy.

Broccoli is a high vibrational food, in that it provides the body with essential nutrients. White sugar is lower vibration, as it offers the body no nutritional benefits, and takes from us more than it gives.

If you imagine life is a radio and vibes are the stations or frequencies we are tuned into, you can see that wherever we land, is what we will experience.

If 97.9 is a lower frequency on the dial and that is where we are, we will naturally align with other lower frequency vibrations, since that is what we are tuned into. Like attracts like. If we are vibing at a higher, 107.9 station for example, then we will attract other people and experiences who are on the same frequency.

Naturally we will oscillate amongst frequencies throughout our lives, as change is a natural way of being. However, there are many ways that we can elevate our own vibration and maintain a higher vibe. Here are some ways to do that.

1.        Meditation. Meditation works to help us vibe higher, in that it connects us with our soul self (higher consciousness), which is always vibing at the highest frequency. Meditation also helps separate us from our thoughts, which are susceptible to lower vibration frequencies. Any thoughts of judgment, hatred, fears, worries, and other ego patterns of thinking are lower frequency, and naturally lowers our vibe. 5 minutes of intentional silence a day, goes a long way. 2.        Consume higher vibe content. Any consumption of negative content will slowly lower your vibration. Most news of any kind will do it. If it bleeds, it leads. If it seeks to judge, diminish, or disparage others, even if it is on the side of the “good”, it will lower your vibration. If it leaves you feeling hopeless, or leaves your ego feeling “right”, it is certainly not helping to uplift you energetically. If you must consume content, let it be joyful, motivational, inspirational, or funny!

3.        Be in Nature! Nature vibrates at the highest level, as does our higher consciousness. Spend time in nature in any way you can, and daily if you can. Even if that is tending to your own yard, animals, or houseplants. When you spend time with nature, your own frequency will begin to resonate with that frequency. Like everything you spend your time doing, you will begin to align in vibration without even trying.

4.        Listen to higher frequency sounds and music. There are specific frequencies that when you listen to them, they will naturally elevate your vibration. 432 Hz like in this sound healing video, is linked to positivity. 528Hz is associated with relaxation and insight, and 936 Hz promotes inner peace and spiritual connection. Just lay back and allow your ears to feel the sound.

5.        Eat foods as close to their natural source as possible. Processed foods are stripped of essential nutrients and are often high in unhealthy fats, sugar, and salt. In turn, they have a negative impact on your well-being and as such, they lower your vibration. Try high vibe whole foods like vegetables, beans, fruits, whole grains, and clean unprocessed free-range meats.

6.        Spend time around high vibe people, or at the very least, lessen your time with low vibe ones. You know those people who leave you feeling depleted and exhausted after spending time with them? They are vibing lower and probably seem to suck the livelihood right out of you. It’s okay to pass on spending time with them! Enjoy time with friends and family who expand your heart and it feels good to be in their presence. Even if for now, that is just your cat.

7.        Shift stuck, low vibe energy in your body through exercises like Yoga and Tai Chi. Activities that move breath, and body will help release dense energy that is stuck and impedes your natural flow state. Any regular exercise will increase your endorphins, those feel-good hormones, and will elevate your vibe! Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise every day to help maintain a high vibe.

8.        Release trauma and stuck emotions with the help of reiki energy healing, acupuncture, and craniosacral therapy. These are a few alternative healing modalities that will help to move stuck energy in the body. Sometimes we have energetic imprints from our past, that are frozen in our bodies and contribute to a lower vibe. Find a practitioner who can help move the energy. They are a good start in bringing you into a high vibe state.

When you increase your vibration, you will naturally draw in opportunities, experiences, and people that align with your higher vibe self. That’s when life gets good. It doesn’t always have to be struggle and misery. And it isn’t supposed to be.

 

It is ultimately up to each of us to maintain our high vibe state. Regular practice of several of these suggested activities will help keep you up!
